Soda...

I know - it's cheating, but since DP is all I drink, it seemed appropriate.

Oh, and a little known fact I learned a few days ago, there should not be a period at the end of Dr. Interesting.

You Are Dr. Pepper

You're very unique and funky, yet you still have a bit of traditionalism to you.

People who like you think they have great taste... and they usually do.

Your best soda match: Root Beer

Stay away from: 7 Up

Finally...

I am finally getting around to posting a bit more. I've had a zillion ideas for blog posts, but no time. So, here's an introduction to the Cast of Characters in my life.

I am Melody: Mom, wife, student, and glorified Admin.

My Husband, whom we'll call Budman, because he's convinced that DH doesn't stand for Dear Husband. We've been married for a few years, and everyday I'm reminded just how lucky I am. Really, he's the greatest. (No, I'm not just sucking up). I am a lucky, lucky woman...

Children:
Possum - Our 13 year old. He's a typical teenage boy. He's just moved here recently from Colorado, in the hopes that his father and I could could make an improvement in his grades/attitude. So far, so good. He's a good kid; he lacks motivation (What 13 year old doesn't) and he appears to be plenty happy here with his dad (& me, of course), so his attitude is just fine. I can already see the girls circling, Heaven help us.

Bear, Our 12 year old. He lives with his father (My ex-husband) and I don't get to see him nearly as often as I would like. But I'm not giving up.

Chipmunk, our 10 year old. She lives in Colorado with her mother, and we miss her terribly. She will be here next month for the ENTIRE Christmas Holiday, and we are SO 'CITED (This is what we say in our house, well, when we're SO EXCITED - It was started by Monkey, and it's stuck). Chipmunk is a girly girl through and through, but she dreams of being a tomboy. She cracks me up.

Monkey - Our 5 year old future genius - or criminal mastermind. Only time will tell if he decides to use his powers for good or for evil. He's in Kindergarten this year, I think his teacher may reconsider her career choice soon.

Mater (although he's decided he needed an animal name like his brothers and sister - we just haven't found an animal that fits him just yet...) - Our 4 year old artist. He's in Pre-K, and being the youngest, he's a bit sensitive. He's also most likely to break into song at random (He gets that from his Mamma. LOL!) He's also a terrific snuggler! Not too wiggly, and he falls asleep easily.

Well, that's our family. We have a few supporting roles, Grammy and Papo J (My dad and Step-mom), Nana and Papo B (Mom and step-dad), and Nana R and Grandpa H (Budman's parents, my in-laws). We also have my sis and her hubby, J & K, and the cutest most adorable nephew in the world, N. Budman has a brother, BIL, I like to call him, who lives in AZ with his girlfriend. I will introduce others as needed. But mostly, I've already told you about all the ones who matter.

OK, so I will be adding photos someday, and hopefully more stories, observations and whatever I can come up with. Enjoy

Fabulous Fussypants - Blog Mention

This is a blog I must read daily. I have a few of these, and Fussy is at the top of the list.

I'm not terribly eloquent, like Fussy and a few other blogging Mommies, so when the best I can come up with is "She's really awesome, and so funny"... Know that I mean it.

So, there you have it...

Bear with me

I will be having a blog here - give me a little time.
